MANSFIELD (UPDATED 2:22 p.m.) — A fire at 296 W. 4th St. has destroyed at least the back half of the four unit building, according to Assistant Fire Chief Chris Speelman.
The Mansfield Fire Department responded to the home, which contains four living units, at 10:32 a.m., Speelman said.
“There were a couple people at home. I’m not sure how many live there,” he said.
“No one was hurt.”
Speelman said the back half of the house is a total loss, and he is unsure if the front is livable.
“They (the victims of the fire) are working with the Red Cross to make arrangements,” he said.
The fire is still under investigation.
