Element of Art, located on 96 N Main St in downtown Mansfield, is a non-profit art gallery that showcases the talents and offerings of professional artists living with developmental disabilities. If you’re looking for a local business or non-profit to spend your money on over the holiday season, Element of Art is a great choice.

Element of Art opened in December of 2010 with the mission of providing artists with developmental disabilities a space to create, showcase and sell their artwork to the community. Art Coordinator Kathy Goodwin has seen an increased level of integration within the community each year they have been open, and Element of Art has now opened studio classes to the public.

“Our space offers gallery for exhibition and sale of artwork, as well as working studio space both for the artist and the public to work alongside each other through a variety of events,” Goodwin said. “We allow our artists to pursue and maintain careers while connecting the community with their incredible work.”

Currently, Element of Art is in the process of creating a massive community mobile sculpture and are inviting locals to be a part of it! It will include a variety of community artists, as well as artists from Richland Newhope Industries.

Stop by this holiday season to learn more and support local artists.
