CRESTLINE — Bucyrus pulled away in the second half to earn a 46-18 victory at Crestline in the season finale for both Crawford County schools.

The Redmen finished 2-8, after going 1-9 last season. Crestline completed a 5-5 campaign.

The two squads swapped scores early, with the Redmen gaining a 7-0 edge on a 67-yard TD pass from Ben Seibert to Gram Dick.

But the Bulldogs responded on Caleb Moore’s 62-yard touchdown dash to inch within 7-6. Seibert fired two more scoring passes, to Dick and Harley Robinson for a 20-6 bulge.

Moore pulled the Bulldogs within 20-12 on a 45-yard pick-six. But Devon Newland’s TD run pushed the margin back to 27-12 before Ty Clark and Davon Triplett connected on a 38-yard scoring pass to make it 27-18 at halftime.

It was all Bucyrus in the second half, with three touchdown runs, including another score for Seibert, leading to a decisive victory.
