Johnathon “John” R. Young, 38, of Mansfield, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, Aug. 26, 2017.
John was born on Dec. 31, 1978, in Mansfield, to Donald E. and Bettie J. (Beaire) Young. He loved his family and especially his children.
He was a big sports fan, especially the Cincinnati Bengals, Chicago Bulls, and Ohio State Buckeyes. He enjoyed playing video games and watching zombie movies and had a large collection of shoes.
Along with his mother, Bettie Young, of Ontario, he is survived by three children, Casey Manning, of Ashland, Lauryn Young, of Mansfield, and Grayson Young, of Columbus; three sisters, Tammi (Mark) Creamer, of Columbus, Paula (Todd) Weaver, and Kristie (Coy) Fultz, both of Mansfield; six nieces and nephews, Zachary, Jacob, Matthew, Laura (Jason), Amy (Michael), and Abby Fultz; six great-nieces and nephews, Gavin, Grayden, Kaylee, Garrett, Nevaeh, and Serenity; and numerous friends, including Clifton, Jim, Bob, and Robert.
John was preceded in death by his father, Donald Young; and his nephew, Joseph Layfield.
Calling hours will be held from 5 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 31, 2017 at Living Word Church, 1035 Grace Street, Mansfield. Memorial services will follow at 6 p.m.
