LEXINGTON — The Lexington Senior Civic Center’s annual rummage sale returns Aug. 3 at the former NEER building on South Mill Street.

Three warehouses and 10 offices are filled with items that are sold by donation only.

“It is by your donation only that we are able to maintain our senior center open to the public,” said Brenda Wilson, director of the Lexington Senior Civic Center and sale coordinator.

Proceeds benefit the senior center — a nonprofit entity that provides education, health screenings, nutrition, information, transportation and entertainment for seniors.

“It is our biggest fundraiser of the year,” Wilson said.

The sale will be held Aug. 3, 4, and 5 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

“Every day of the sale we will open a new warehouse (untouched by any shoppers) so everyone has a chance of getting items firsthand,” Wilson said. “We have so much goodies that we are unable to display it all and, therefore, we will have to restock first and second warehouse after closing Thursday and Friday.”

Wilson said there’s something for everyone. “So you won’t go away empty-handed,” she said.

Parking can be found in the rear of the property.
