Jayne (Dick) Dormaier, 98, of Mansfield died Monday, July 17, 2017 at the Ohio Eastern Star of Mt. Vernon, Ohio.
She was born Sept. 12, 1918 in Richland County, living in Mansfield since 1934. She graduated from Mansfield Senior High in 1935. She was the owner-operator of her beauty salon on West Cook Road. She was a member of Ruth Chapter #17, Order of the Eastern Star, Mansfield, Ohio.
Surviving are her niece, Betty Diekmeier, of Ontario, Ohio; step-grandchildren, Rose (Bob) Hartung, of Ostrander, Ohio, C. Brian Dormaier, of Mansfield, Bob Dormaier, of Mansfield, and Mona Kneuss, of Mansfield; many step great-grandchildren; and step great great-grandchildren.
Along with her parents, Howard F. Dick and Mabel M. Graff, Jayne was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, William J. Dormaier; step-son, William Albert Dormaier; step-grandson, William Alan Dormaier; and sisters, Catherine Mahan, of Mansfield and Jean Jarman, of Mansfield.
A graveside service officiated by Rev. Dr. Pentti Maki will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 20, 2017 at Mansfield Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Ohio Eastern Star of Mt. Vernon, 1451 Gambier Rd. Mt. Vernon, Ohio 43050.
