MANSFIELD — Once upon a time the wilderness that was Mansfield was inhabited by Native Americans, settlers, soldiers and celebrities of history.
Johnny Appleseed tromped through this territory, as did various presidents, including William Howard Taft, Teddy Roosevelt, John F. Kennedy up through Barack Obama among others.
The photos here, provided by the Mansfield Bicentennial Committee, offer a look at nearly 180 years of the city’s history.
