MANSFIELD — The city of Mansfield was awarded $270,000 grant on Tuesday to upgrade Mansfield Lahm Regional Airport.
The money comes from the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The award was announced by U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown, a Mansfield Senior graduate.
“Mansfield Lahm Regional Airport supports tourism and commerce in Richland County,” Brown said. “This funding will improve the safety and efficiency of the airport so it can remain a reliable option for the county.”
This grant to the Mansfield Lahm Regional Airport will go toward reconstructing the taxiway.
