Jayson L. Ferguson, 24, of Fredericktown went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 21, 2017.

Jayson was born on Dec. 21, 1992 in Mount Vernon, Ohio to Jay and Tammy (Canter) Ferguson.

Jayson was a graduate of Fredericktown High School and completed a Culinary Arts program. Jayson was a free spirited, likable and energetic young man. He enjoyed computers, video games, bikes and skateboarding and most recently began studying the Bible.

Jayson is survived by his father and step mother, Jay and Diane Ferguson, of Fredericktown; sister, Shonnie Ferguson, of Fredericktown; brother, Tim (Tiffany) Ferguson, of Fredericktown; two step brothers, Damian Hays, of Loudonville and Mitch Vipperman, of Fredericktown; four nephews, Joshua, Justin, Kayden, and Preston; grandmother, Betty Damron of Bellville; grandfather, Franklin Thompson, of Mansfield; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and other family. He is preceded in death by his mother, Tammy Canter Ferguson.

The family will welcome friends from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Rd. A funeral service conducted by Pastor William Kirk will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park.
