COLUMBUS — Ohio Senate President Larry Obhof (R-Medina) recognized an Ashland University track and field champion yesterday on the Senate floor.

Myles Pringle, a sophomore at Ashland University, won the NCAA Division II Indoor Track and Field National Championship for the Men’s 400-meter dash in March and the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field National Championship for the Men’s 400-meter dash in May. His personal best time of 46.04 seconds is an Ashland University record, and he has been named as an All American.

Pringle’s victory and those of his teammates helped propel the Eagles to a third place overall finish at the 2017 National Championship.

“Myles’ speed and talent is incredible, and he has made his university and community proud,” said Obhof. “It’s a pleasure to recognize his accomplishments here at the Statehouse.”
