Edward D. “Ed” Neumann

Edward D. “Ed” Neumann, 68, of rural Crestline passed away Thursday evening, June 8, 2017 at home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born July 30, 1948 in Galion and was the son of the late Arthur W. and Miriam A. (Laughbaum) Neumann. Ed is survived by his wife of 40 years, Elaine D. (Stirm) Neumann who he married on April 23, 1977. 

He graduated from Crestline High School in 1966 and attended Ohio State University. Ed proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He worked for National Lime and Stone for 28 years and as a foreman and plant manager for Concrete Products in Crestline.

Ed was a former member of the Crestline JC’s and enjoyed hunting, gardening and woodworking.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters Heather (Tyson) Estrada of Galion and Alisha Neumann, of Findlay; three grandchildren Amira, Lincoln and Mya Estrada; sister Judy (Rodger) Lozier, of Crestline, and three brothers Larry (Carolyn) Neumann, of Rapid City, South Dakota, James M. Neumann, of Crestline, and Steve (Bonnie) Neumann, of Plain City, Ohio. 

The family will have a private memorial service at a later date where full military honors will be conducted by the United States Army and Galion Crestline Veterans Military Funeral Detail.

Memorial contributions may be made to HomeCare Matters Hospice or the National Rifle Association in care of the funeral home.
