BUCYRUS — The Bucyrus Police Department handled the following calls on Wednesday, May 17.

7:15 a.m. A report of a dog in the road not yielding to traffic in the area of Spring and Oakwood was received. The Animal Warden was called for the dog.

7:44 a.m. A motorist was warned for speed in the area of Beal and Hopley Ave.

9:25 a.m. A S. Walnut St. Resident reported his lawn mower stolen from his yard yesterday.

9:37 a.m. A welfare check was made in the 100 block of Crescent Ct.

10:02 a.m. The property owner of a Failor St. residence reported a 5X8 utility trailer stolen from the yard sometime since Monday.

10:45 a.m. Officers investigated a domestic dispute in the 1500 block of E. Mansfield St.

10:59 a.m. A private property minor crash report was taken in the 600 block of N. Sandusky Ave.

11:11 a.m. Officers investigated a report of a subject looking in cars in the 100 block of E Irving St. The subject was not located.

12:06 p.m. A domestic dispute in the 400 block of E Irving St. was investigated.

12:26 p.m. A Maple St resident reported her purse missing after leaving it behind on a cart in the Kroger parking lot Monday evening.

12:27 p.m. Officers attempted to deliver a message for Painesville Police Department on Virginia Ave.

12:59 p.m. A subject came on station to speak with an officer regarding a prior case.

1:14 p.m. A report of a possible suicidal subject was investigated.

1:39 p.m. A private property minor crash report was taken in the Walmart parking lot.

1:40 p.m. Officers assisted with a vehicle lock out at City Hall.

1:56 p.m. Officers responded to Walmart to intervene with an elderly customer who was possibly being scammed and attempting to get pre-paid money cards.

2:14 p.m. Officers responded to a report of a tree that had fallen on a vehicle in the area of Poplar and Rensselaer.

3:29 p.m. Liza Wills, 29, was served two tax warrants. She was issued a date to appear in court and released.

4:53 p.m. A false alarm in the 1500 block of Oakridge Drive was investigated.

5:07 p.m. A warning for loud music was issued in the 500 block of Prospect Street.

6:31 p.m. A disturbance in the 300 block of S. Spring Street was mediated.

7:04 p.m. A false alarm in the area of Woodlawn and McKinley Avenue was investigated.

8:12 p.m. A Bucyrus resident brought found drug paraphernalia to the Police Department for disposal.

8:38 p.m. A false alarm in the 400 block of Kramer Avenue was investigated.

8:43 p.m. Officers swept up some glass found in the roadway on N. Lane Street.

9:08 p.m. Traffic stop in the 1700 block of E. Mansfield St. and the driver was arrested for OVI.

9:23 p.m. Officers checked the welfare of a resident in the 800 block of Cleland Street.

9:44 p.m. A domestic disturbance in the 500 block of Schaber Avenue was mediated.

10:07 p.m. Officers assisted a motorist locked out of their vehicle at Walmart.

10:38 p.m. Officers responded to an alarm in the 200 block of N. Sandusky Ave.

11:18 p.m. A resident in the 300 block of Wiley St. reported his vehicle damaged with a scape on the bumper caused sometime earlier in the day.

Thursday, May 18

2:44 a.m. Officers responded to an alarm in the 1000 block of Martha Ave.

6:28 a.m. Officers on patrol rescued a dog from a manhole in the 400 block of W. Southern Ave. The dog was turned over to an agent from the Crawford County Humane Society.
