ASHLAND — Two men were arrested and a car seized among other items Monday morning during a joint operation when a search warrant was executed in Ashland.
According to Ashland police Lt. Garry Alting, officers seized drug abuse instruments, drug paraphernalia, suspected crystal methamphetamine, prescription medication and items related to drug trafficking after serving a warrant at 414 E. Liberty St. in Ashland.
Brandon Olmstead, 28, of Ashland, and Timothy Casler, 31, of Perrysville, were taken into custody, according to authorities. Olmstead’s 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix was also confiscated during the search.
“The investigation and search warrant stemmed from tips within the community regarding criminal activity at that location,” Alting said in a press release. “As always, residents are encouraged to contact the Ashland Police at 419-289-1911 or 419-289-3639 with any information regarding criminal activity.”
Officers from the Ashland Police, METRICH Enforcement Unit, and the Ashland Special Response Team combined forces in this operation.
