Rose R. Mount, 85, of Mansfield, went to be with her Lord Friday, March 3, 2017 at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital.
Born June 8, 1931 in Tiro, Ohio, she was the daughter of Merl and Emma (Fox) Steel.
She was a graduate of Tiro High School and retired from Essex Wire. Rose was a faithful, comical and generous person who enjoyed a good conversation. She was a member of the Mansfield Alliance Church. She was a former member of Order of Eastern Star and enjoyed volunteering at various Christian organizations, sewing, gardening and reading.
Rose is survived by four sons, Richard (Sharon) Mount, of Cambridge, Merl (Deborah) Mount, of Mansfield, Durwood (Lynn) Mount, of Mansfield, and Dennis (Amy) Mount, of Lexington; a son-in-law, John Sear, of Akron; 11 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Rose was preceded in death by her husband, Dale E. Mount in 2007; a son, Dale Mount II; a daughter, Sheila Sear; and 12 brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 9, 2017 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 South Diamond Street, Mansfield. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the service, from 10 to 11 a.m., at the funeral home on Thursday. Memorial contributions may be made in care of the family.
