ASHLAND – Three Ashland County residents face drug charges after a search warrant was executed at 1238 Township Road 653 on Wednesday.
According to a press release from the Ashland County Sheriff’s Office, Robbie Workman, 46; Jennifer VanScoder, 31; and Scott Buzzard, 40, were arrested following the completion of the search warrant. The trio could face charges of drug trafficking, possession of illegal drugs, drug paraphernalia, possession of criminal tools and child endangering.
The METRICH Enforcement Unit, Ashland County Sheriff’s Office, Ashland Police Division and Special Response Team executed the search warrant and found evidence related to suspected heroin and crack cocaine.
Four children were found in the home and were removed due to drug use and drug activity, according to the release.
According to Ashland Municipal Court records, Workman pleaded no contest to possession of drug paraphernalia Friday morning. He was found guilty by Judge John Good and sentenced to 30 days in jail with 15 suspended and credit for time served. He also was placed on probation for one year and fined $250.
VanScoder entered a plea of not guilty Friday morning in Ashland Municipal Court. Good set her bond at $1,000 with no 10 percent payment permitted. If VanScoder pays the bond and is released from jail, she must refrain from using illegal drugs and alcohol and must be equipped with a GPS at her expense. A pre-trial hearing has been set for March 10 at 2:30 p.m.
According to court records, Buzzard has not yet appeared in court.
