ASHLAND — Troopers from the Ashland Post of the State Highway Patrol are investigating a reported road rage incident that resulted in shots being fired.

The incident occurred on Monday, February 20 at approximately 4:15 p.m. on U.S. 250 in Ruggles Township, according to a press release from the State Highway Patrol. No injuries were reported from the incident.

According to the patrol, two drivers became upset over alleged traffic violations committed by each other.

Kevin K. Glick, 48, of Dalton, was driving a 2016 Toyota Tundra towing a livestock trailer west on U.S. 250. Jason Laub, 34, of Bellaire, was driving a 1998 Chevrolet pick up towing a camper west on U.S. 250. 

Glick fired shots at Laub’s vehicle striking a tire on the camper. Glick possessed an expired concealed carry permit and his weapon was seized. Laub possessed a valid concealed carry permit and had a firearm in his possession.

The case is under investigation and will be forwarded to the Ashland County Prosecutor’s Office for review upon completion. Alcohol and drugs are not suspected in this incident.
