Marlene Ruth Jeffries Birmelin, 72, of Mansfield, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2017 at her residence.
Born June 16, 1944 in Mansfield, she was the daughter of William L. Jeffries Sr. and Cora E. (Neighbors) Jeffries.
A homemaker, she enjoyed traveling with her husband Larry.
Surviving are her husband, Larry E. Birmelin; a son, Michael A. Laug, of Mansfield; a daughter, Kimberly D. Mace, of Galion; a stepdaughter, Amy (Rick) Vandergriff, of Tennessee; a brother, William L. (Emma) Jeffries Jr., of Ashland; and a sister-in-law, Ginny Jeffries, of Ashland.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Howard R. Jeffries, Donald E. Jeffries, and Kenneth M. Jeffries.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Feb. 13, 2017 at 2:30 p.m. at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 South Lexington-Springmill Road, Ontario conducted by Rev. Christopher R. Thomas.
Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park. Friends may call one hour prior to the service, from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m., at the funeral home on Monday. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
