Glendale Uhlich, 93, of Mansfield, passed away Sunday, Feb. 5, 2017.
Glendale was born March 2, 1923 in Mansfield, Ohio to Mont and Ella (Zimmerman) Uhlich. He was a member of the Amvets, Sons of Herman, and the Gorman-Rupp 25 year club with 39 years of service there.
He proudly served in the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II.
He is survived by his son, Dennis (Susan) Uhlich; grandchildren, Melissa (Jason) Buehner and Thomas (Jennifer) Uhlich; great grandchildren, Derrick Buehner and Drew Buehner.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Hazel Lorraine Smith; sisters, Virgie Pfahler and Beneva Murphy; brothers, Joseph Uhlich, Gerald Uhlich, and Herbert Uhlich.
Calling hours will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2017 at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, 1106 Park Ave. East, Mansfield, Ohio. Funeral services will be on Thursday, Feb. 9, 2017 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Bonnie Peltomaa officiating. Burial will be in Mansfield Cemetery.
