MANSFIELD — The city of Mansfield has updated its list for roads to be resurfaced this year.

Resurfacing

The street resurfacing program is split into two phases. Phase one covers 10.4 miles in wards one, two and three. Phase two consists of 11.93 miles in wards four, five and six. The total miles to be paved are 22.32 miles.

City Engineer Bob Bianchi said the project should start in early May and be completed by late September.

The total cost is $4,422,729.95.

Bianchi added that Lexington Avenue is supposed to be repaved after grant funds are made available in 2018, which should fund about 65-70 percent of the project.

“We may have to do some more patching to get us through (until it can be resurfaced),” he said.

The targeted stretch of road to be repaved goes from First Street to Kroger Marketplace.
