WASHINGTON TWP — The Richland County Sheriff’s Office has released the names of five individuals who were shot at Spruce Hill Inn & Cottages at approximately 12:30 a.m. Friday.

An initial sheriff’s report lists five male victims: Marvin Patrick Parker, 18, of Mansfield; Darion Eugene Edward, 19, of Mansfield; Andre Cortez Craig, 18, of Mansfield; Jaquan Jabree Durrell, 17, of Mansfield; and Damauri Rawls, 17, of Mansfield. 

The sheriff’s office received a call from Spruce Hill Inn & Cottages, located at 3230 Possum Run Rd., requesting assistance for a shooting victim. Subsequent calls advised of three to four possible shooting victims, according to a press release issued by the sheriff’s office.

Deputies arrived on scene to locate three shooting victims and several other persons present. While on the scene, the sheriff’s office was advised two additional shooting victims had arrived at the OhioHealth Mansfield Emergency Department by private vehicle, the press release states.

The sheriff’s office responded to the incident with the aid of the Bellville Police Department, Mansfield Police Department and the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Law enforcement secured the scene and checked for an active shooter(s) and additional victims, but neither was located, according to authorities.

The three victims located at the scene were transported by EMS to OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital for treatment of their injuries.

The scene remains secured pending processing.

To assist with the processing of the scene, the sheriff’s office has requested the support of the Ohio Attorney General’s Office BCI & I.  

“Our office is working diligently to gather the events which transpired last night,” Capt. James Sweat said. 

As of this time, no arrests have been made and investigative efforts are ongoing.   

“In support of our investigative efforts, we request any person who was present during the event to contact our office and provide your contact information,” Sweat said.
