MANSFIELD — Hamilton Insurance Group has quite a bit more breathing room now that it has moved into a new location, which is triple the size of its previous space.

Formerly located in the plaza next to What’s 4 Dessert, Hamilton Insurance Group moved just down the street to 1669 Lexington Ave.

Hamilton Insurance Group Inc. is an independent insurance agency family that includes Hamilton Insurance ServicesHanover Insurance GroupThe Kozma AgencyNeese-Rockhold InsuranceThe Midland Agency, and The Welker-Hamilton Agency. It’s described as a “one-stop shop” for auto, home, business and life insurance needs.

President Neil Hamilton said the office is “bigger, brighter and newer” and has had a positive impact on the employees with all the natural light that shines into the building.

The new space also features almost all new equipment and furniture.

Hamilton said it was a process to get moved in, which took place mid-October.

“We’re very excited about this location and the potential it’s going to provide for us,” he said.

New location

The Hamilton Group operates a second location in Galion at 106 Harding Way East.

Currently staffed by 10 people, the company anticipates hiring two more employees next year–an agent and a customer service representative.

“We always want to stay ahead of the game,” Hamilton said. “We went through times when we had growing pains: we were adding more customers than we had customer service support for, and that’s very painful when you go through that, so we’re trying to stay ahead of the curve.

“Right now we feel like we’re performing very well for our clients, providing fast and efficient service for them.”

Hamilton said he’s blessed to be working with some of the nicest, committed and dependable individuals. That includes his three children: Brian Hamilton, vice president; Christine Myers, chief financial officer; and Michael Hamilton, commercial lines specialist.

“I’m blessed beyond imagination,” Hamilton said.

Mansfield Mayor Tim Theaker congratulated the insurance group, wishing them the best of luck.

“I think this is a great opportunity for you,” Theaker said.

Hamilton said the new space wouldn’t have been possible without the help of Lori Holden Sjostedt of Haring Realty.

“When we were looking for a building and Lori knew that, she saw an opportunity here for us and right away brought it to our attention, and we would not be here if it weren’t for you,” he said.

On behalf of the Richland Area Chamber of Commerce, Stephany Elgin commented, “Thank you for reinvesting in the community. We always love to see a local business doing well.”
