MANSFIELD — Nearly 100 area School Board members and school administrators were recognized at Mid-Ohio Educational Service Center’s annual All Boards Appreciation Dinner on Dec. 6.

Superintendent Linda T. Keller thanked board members for their service to the students in the region. Board of Governors President Mary Dixon welcomed the group.

Attendees watched a special video, which highlighted related services provided by Mid-Ohio ESC professionals and featured students from client districts. School psychology, occupational and physical therapy and speech and language pathology services were showcased.

“These services are the true heart of Mid-Ohio and reflective of all we do,” Keller told the group. “I am most proud of providing these services that are making a difference in the lives of our children.”

Keller also noted that ESCs recently celebrated more than 100 years of providing services and support to Ohio school districts.

“This shared services model provides specialized services to meet the needs of special student populations, while maximizing each districts’ resources,” she explained.

Mid-Ohio ESC recently received the prestigious “High Performing ESC” designation from the Ohio Department of Education, recognizing the significant cost savings it provides to districts using services provided by Mid-Ohio ESC rather than those from other sources.
