MANSFIELD — The Richland County Board of Elections announced Friday that the final tally for Mansfield’s Gas Aggregation question remained unchanged, even after a mandatory recount.
“Everything stayed exactly the same. The recount showed 7,127 ‘yes’ votes and 7,129 ‘no’ votes,” read a board of elections press release.
The board of elections started the recount Thursday.
The gas aggregation ballot initiative would have allowed the city to give its residents the option to participate in a government aggregation program for its natural gas supply.
The board of elections started the presidential, judicial and prosecutor race audits Friday afternoon.
