Emmett K. Anderson, 62, of Galion, died Sunday, Nov. 6, 2016 at Galion Community Hospital, after a sudden illness.
Emmett was born in Galion on Dec. 27, 1953 to the late Russell and Beatrice (Holsinger) Kline. He married, Arlene L. (Heller) Anderson on April, 26, 1975 and she survives him.
Emmett was a 1972 graduate of Galion High School. He was employed by Elliott Machine Works in Galion for the last seven years and had previously worked at the former Komatsu-Dresser. Emmett was known as a hard worker, enjoyed working on cars and he loved his Chevy’s. He had attended Sixteen United Methodist Church. Emmett and Arlene recently enjoyed a trip to Omaha, Nebraska to see their grandson get married. He enjoyed playing catch with his daughter’s dog. Emmett dearly loved his grandchildren.
He is survived by his children, Jeffrey Oxer, Galion, Steven (Sandy) Oxer, Temperance, MI, Trent Oxer (Connie Robinson) Bucyrus, Amy (Michael) Caudill, Ontario, 7 grandchildren, Spenser, Bethany, Tyler, Autumn, Seth, Serena and Vincent, his sister, Chelsea Kline, Galion.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Lana Boyd.
Friends may call Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2016 from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Mark A. Schneider Funeral Home, 303 Portland Way N., Galion, where funeral services will be held on Thursday, Nov. 10, 2016 at 10:30 a.m., with Rev. Pat Fruth officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Galion.
