Olga A. Eggerton, 88, of South Bridge Street, Perrysville, died unexpectedly Sunday afternoon, Nov. 6, 2016 in University Hospitals Samaritan Medical Center.

Olga was born Feb. 9, 1928 in Perrysville, the daughter of the late Harry Kershner and Zella Mae Lozier.

She was a 1946 graduate of Perrysville High School and began her working career at Dominion Electric, Mansfield before spending many years in the brass shop of Mansfield Plumbing Products. She later worked over 15 years for the US Postal Service, many of those at the Perrysville Post Office.

Olga attended Perrysville Baptist Church and was a life member and past President of the VFW Auxiliary, was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, a former member of the Pleasant Hill Boat Club, and the Perrysville Garden Club.

On Nov. 23, 1946 she married Richard C. Eggerton and he died April 9, 2014. 

She is survived by her son, Rick (Cathy) Eggerton, of Perrysville; two daughters: Cheryl (Ray) Bowen, of Perrysville, and Tami (Mark Troup) Eggerton, of Cleveland; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a granddaughter, Andrea Braen. 

Friends may call Thursday, Nov. 10, 2016 from 3 to 6 p.m. in Lindsey Funeral Home, Loudonville, where the VFW Auxiliary will begin services at 6 p.m. which will be immediately followed by a memorial service with Rev. Howard Burnett officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Perrysville.
