Russell William “Chip” Bolesky II, 63, passed away Monday, Oct. 17, 2016 in his Texas home where his sister lovingly took care of him.
Chip enjoyed living on the small horse ranch in Texas. It allowed him to drive his golf cart in open spaces, enjoy spending time with his horse “Cinco” and have his dog “Cody.” He was a great card player and rarely lost a hand.
Chip was a member of the American Quarter Horse Association, the American Paint Horse Association, and the National Snaffle Bit Association. In 2011, Chip was named WORLD CHAMPION in the RWD Supported Trail with a borrowed horse “Knowtorious” and was also named Reserve World Champion with his horse “Cinco” in the RWD Supported Walk Trot Western Pleasure. When he was presented in the middle of the show arena with his championship belt buckle, he held it straight in the air and waved it to the crowd! The whole crowd stood and gave him a standing ovation, truly the best moment he ever lived.
He is survived by his siblings Tracy H. Bolesky, R. Hugh Bolesky and Siri Darrell as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceding him in death were his parents Russell & Donna (Hallack) Bolesky.
A graveside service honoring Chip’s life will be held Friday, Oct. 28, 2016 at 10:15 a.m. in Mansfield Cemetery.
Pastor Craig Hamm will speak. Snyder Funeral Homes is honored to serve Chip’s family and encourage you to share a fond memory or message of condolence to them at Snyderfuneralhomes.com.
