ASHLAND — In the pay-it-forward spirit of their summer Read-It-Forward Read-a-thon, Ashland Public Library has donated an adult bicycle to Associated Charities of Ashland.

Mennonite Mutual Insurance Company of Orrville generously provided the Huffy to the library – along with two other youth bikes, both of which were distributed as summer reading prizes.

Library staff members assembled the bikes as part of a team-building/training session while the library was closed during its recent renovations. The CEO of the Mennonite Mutual, Chris Blough, who is also a library trustee, facilitated the donation and team-building activity.
