CRESTVIEW — The Richland County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help in identifying suspects believed to be involved in a recent string of property crimes.

Starting Wednesday, July 27, Crestview Schools and residents living in the area reported property damages, including smashed windshields, door handles, building windows and lights, school doors and a mailbox.

Suspects in damage

The damage has amounted to nearly $9,500.

“This has been an ongoing problem at the school and in the area of the school within the last week or so,” reads a press release from the sheriff’s department.

Major Joe Masi believes the suspects are white males aged either in their teens or twenties. He said the sheriff’s department is seeking assistance from Crestview Schools’ technician to enhance the quality of the pictures.

Height and weight are tougher to distinguish in the pictures, he said. However, he hopes somebody will be able to read the license plate number, in which case, that tip should be forwarded to 911.

“If somebody can get us a license plate number that would be great,” he said.

The suspects, pictured, are believed to be using a black 2000-03 Ford Taurus. Anyone with information is encouraged to call Deputy Eric Wendling at 419-524-2412. Tips can also be forwarded to 419-774-5168.
