BUCYRUS — Authorities believe another suspect has surfaced in what they are terming a Bucyrus sex crime involving minors.
According to Crawford County Prosecutor Matt Crall, Bethany Thompson, 32, of Bucyrus, was the initial complainant for an open case against her boyfriend, Justin Millhouse II, who was indicted July 20 on 24 sexual counts against minors. Thompson later turned herself in to the Bucyrus Police Department. Her bond was set Thursday at $1 million.
The charges are identical to that of Millhouse, which includes nine counts of pandering obscenity involving a minor, a second-degree felony; six counts of sexual battery, a third-degree felony; nine counts of endangering children, a second-degree felony.
The couple will be tried together.
“We did not know the extent of her involvement last time,” Crall said.
He said Thompson could potentially face up to 174 years in prison.
Crall said he does not believe the couple was involved in online solicitation.
Bucyrus Police Chief David Koepke said last month the minors connected to the case are from Bucyrus. He declined to comment on their ages.
In other cases, Adam Drew, of Bucyrus, was indicted Monday for a domestic violence charge originally filed in May. His bond was set at $300,000.
Other charges on the indictment list included possession of drugs, felonious assault, robbery, attempted burglary, theft, possession of heroin and other paraphernalia.
