MANSFIELD — Linda Buckner pleaded not guilty to an aggravated murder charge Thursday in connection with the abduction and death of Mansfield’s Patsy Hudson last year.

Magistrate Garry Dalbey set a cash bond at $250,000. Buckner will be represented by attorney Mark Cockley. She is also not permitted to be in contact with her co-defendent Walter Renz.

Buckner was originally charged alongside Renz in April when Richland County Prosecutor Bambi Couch Page said Hudson’s bones had been found in different locations around the county. Buckner’s 10 charges included aggravated burglary and abuse of a corpse.

Buckner is scheduled to appear before Judge James DeWeese for a jury trial on Thursday, July 28 for the aggravated burglary charge.

Renz was charged with aggravated murder, along with several other charges, in April.

Buckner was arrested for aggravated murder of Hudson on Friday, July 15, according to court files. She is in the Richland County jail.

Renz’s jury trial was continued July 21 until Tuesday, August 23.
