ASHLAND — Due to the excessive heat and humidity projected for Friday, the United Way’s Fun Fabulous Friday will take place at the Salvation Army Kroc Center, 527 E. Liberty St.
The time schedule remains the same with lunch served by donation by University Hospitals Samaritan Medical Center beginning at approximately 11:45 a.m.
Two-time award winning Cleveland magician Michael Mage will be the entertainment. Mage is known as a comedian stuck in a magician’s shoes. His interactive shows incorporate comedy and endless audience participation throughout. With years of professional experience, Mage will develop his show based around the audience at hand. Mage has been entertaining audiences all over the nation with his “in your face” sleights and “high energy illusions” since 1999.
In 2005, Mage began working with Las Vegas-based entertainment company Fancy Pants Productions. This opportunity allowed him to work with multiple Cedar Fair Amusement Parks, performing over 200 shows a summer. Mage also spent the 2009-2011 baseball seasons performing close up magic for the AAA affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies. Since then his talents have allowed him to acquire an extensive show list including the Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland Cavaliers, and over 200 companies nationwide.
The popular “Price Is Right” game will be played during the event sponsored by Home Hardware. Just like the game show, participants will be selected from the audience and will have the chance to give the retail value of selected items. Home Hardware gift cards will be awarded to the winning guesser.
Fun Fabulous Friday will conclude at approximately 1 p.m. The event is open to the public.
