ASHLAND – Leadership Ashland, the community leadership development program within the Ashland Area Chamber of Commerce, has received a $3,000 grant from the Ashland County Community Foundation’s “Innovation Fund.”
The grant will be used to fund a series of Lunch & Learn seminars focused on providing continuing leadership development for Leadership Ashland Alumni.
There will be up to six seminars offered over the next 12 months and each one will focus on a different topic relevant to helping leaders continue to develop the skills they need to be successful.
According to Ginny Telego, Executive Director of Leadership Ashland, “Leadership development is a journey that is ongoing, and providing these Lunch & Learn Seminars is a way for us to help the Leadership Ashland Alumni continue to build their leadership skills after they graduate from the program. We are very appreciative of the support from the Ashland County Community Foundation’s Innovation Fund, as this grant will allow us to bring in dynamic facilitators for these seminars.”
ACCF’s Executive Director Jim Cutright, commented, “The donor who created the Innovation Fund is very interested in assisting in the advancement of the Community Foundation’s mission of improving the quality of life in Ashland County. We jointly feel that anytime we can add tools, such as these seminars, to our emerging leaders’ toolboxes, the community benefits. Leadership Ashland, with its proven record of success, is certainly deserving of this support.”
The mission of Leadership Ashland is to increase the quantity and quality of leaders in Ashland County by enhancing leadership skills, discovering community assets and creating opportunities for service.
