LEXINGTON — A house on South Lexington-Springmill Road was damaged by fire but no one was hurt on Monday night. The blaze has at least temporarily displaced a family of four.
The home, located at 1308 S. Lexington-Springmill, saw its garage go up in flames. Four townships fire departments responded to the call, from Washington, Troy, Springfield and Madison Townships.
Flames engulfed the garage and were finally doused by the department’s water hoses leaving a giant cloud of smoke.
The home next door, at 1318 S. Lexington-Springmill Rd., had some limited damage as the siding melted from the heat of the blaze.
No further details were available just before midnight.
