Can we talk about how amazing the spring line is this year?
With hot new colors and a lot of striking, versatile trends, if you’re a fashionista, it’s time to get excited.
Whether you’re comfortable baring a little skin or have a more conservative style, there are so many fun options available this season.
Let’s start with the colors. The usual yellows, peaches and greens are back, but they’re all rolling out with a twist.
Peach Echo has a slightly more muted tone than the peaches of 2015 — but it’s just as warm and inviting.
Green Flash is dynamite. Bright, sophisticated and looks good on just about anyone.
Then there’s iced coffee, rose quartz, lilac grey and others that are surely to turn heads this spring.
Crop tops are back this year in a much more flattering way.
From simple stripes to big floral patterns, the tops are paired with matching high-waist skirts and shorts — belly button covered.
Peekaboo dresses, with unique cutouts, will also be a summer go-to. Still sophisticated but very fun and flirty.
Wrap dresses are probably one of the most versatile dress styles. The silhouette is so flattering on just about any shape and transforms easily from day to night.
The bomber jacket was seen all over the runways this year. A very cutting edge, classic piece that can be worn over casual spring dresses or your best denim.
Not a fan of dresses?
Lucky for you, all sorts of fun legwear is popping up this season.
From loose, wide-leg pants to colorful slim-fit leggings, there’s a style to satisfy every woman.
One of the latest trends is the tregging, which are leggings styled to give the appearance of trousers. It’s the same fit, but thicker fabric.
You’ll find lots of comfortable jersey tops, as well as more fitted, off-the-shoulder tops for dressier occasions.
If you’re on a budget, but still looking to find the latest and greatest, try H&M, Nordstrom Rack, Dillard’s (amazing dresses) or even Target. Always been a fan of their stuff from Mossimo and Merona. Affordable, yet trendy.
And don’t forget to support your local businesses. Recently, I did a photoshoot with Truly Yours Fashion in Ashland and was amazed by what can be found there. Not only were their styles cutting edge, but few will be wearing what I was rocking.
A woman’s worst nightmare, right?
Warmer weather is here. No time like the present to add a few new pieces to your wardrobe!
Let your style be a reflection of your personality.
Happy shopping!
