Noelle Devlin, a former Mansfield Choice Academies teacher, pleaded guilty to three counts of sexual battery and three counts of child endangering Wednesday in Richland Co. Common Pleas Court. She admitted to an inappropriate relationship with a 17-year-old student.

MANSFIELD — Noelle Devlin, a former Mansfield Choice Academies teacher, pleaded guilty to three counts of sexual battery and three counts of child endangering Wednesday, according to Richland County Common Please Court officials.

Twelve additional counts of sexual battery and 13 other counts of child endangering were dismissed as part of a plea agreement. The deal comes after Devlin admitted to a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old male student, the court reported.

Devlin is scheduled to be sentenced on April 25.

Three counts of sexual battery is a third-degree felony, which could result in up to 15 years of prison and a $30,000 fine. Three counts of child endangering is a first-degree misdemeanor, which could result in six months in jail on each count and a $3,000 fine for three counts, court officials confirmed.

A guilty plea on sexual battery counts could mean Devlin, 31, is required to register as a Tier III sex offender every 30 days for the rest of her life and check in every 90 days. Court officials said that requirement will be specified more clearly at the sentencing.
