While at convention, members attended several sessions. Members also had the opportunity to visit the Career Show in which colleges and business have booths set up to offer information to members.
At the national convention, six Crestview FFA graduates, Brett Chance, Bree Crider, Tyler Motter, Jessie Spoerr, Shiloh Stuart, and Lance Witmer, received their American Degree.
The American Degree is the highest attainable degree a member can earn. The Crestview FFA Chapter also received a 3-Star National Chapter Award.
This fall. the FFA chapter welcomed a special guest speaker. Osman Echeverria, from Honduras, came to share information on agriculture in his country.
Echeverria is one of the directors at the El Sembrador School in Honduras where he manages the school farm. During his presentation, he shared with classes the many differences between agriculture in the United States and agriculture in Honduras. FFA members took Echeverria on a tour of the high school to share with him what everyday life is like at school.
