MANSFIELD, Ohio – The Pearl Conard Gallery at The Ohio State University at Mansfield presents Flow Chart Aug. 25 to Sept. 17. The exhibition by Southern Illinois University Edwardsville professor Joe Page will create a site-specific installation in the Pearl Conard Art Gallery with vibrant colors, reductive imagery, and illustrated movements derivative of early video games, pinball machines, mass transit maps, and schematic diagrams.
A Closing Reception and Artist Talk will be conducted from 12:35 – 1:30 p.m. Sept. 17.
Born in Northbrook, Ill., Page received a Master of Fine Arts from the New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University in 2008 and a Bachelor of Arts from Knox College in 2003. He taught at Whitman College in Walla Walla, Wash. from 2009-2014. Last year, he moved back to Illinois where he is now an Assistant Professor of Ceramics at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.
The Pearl Conard Gallery is located in 145 Ovalwood Hall at Ohio State Mansfield. Gallery hours are Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. (NOTE: gallery is staffed by student workers, so hours may shift.)
