MANSFIELD, Ohio – A Cleveland man was injured in an early-morning shooting Tuesday on Chilton Avenue.
Carltez Davis, 19, was shot at least once in the leg around midnight, according to a Mansfield police report. When officers arrived on the scene, the victim was laying in the driveway. Davis was treated at the scene by the Mansfield Fire Department squad and then transported to OhioHealth MedCentral Mansfield.
Neighbor Thomas Leech told police he heard two gun shots in the area and saw the victim on the ground yelling for help. According to the report, Leech said he also saw a silver Jeep leaving the scene eastbound on Chilton Avenue.
Police were unavailable for comment Tuesday for more information.
