GALION, Ohio – Walter & Company Financial Services opened the doors at their new location during a ribbon cutting ceremony Thursday.
Their new location at 451 Harding Way W. in Galion provides room for the business to grow according to Doug Walter, who, along with his wife, oversees the business. Walter said that they were renting a shop in the uptown area of Galion but have always wanted to have their own place.
The company provides financial services. Walter is licensed to market securities, mutual funds, annuities, life and health insurance. They also have access to a variety of investment and insurance products, through a wide array of companies.
The business’ vision is to progressively grow with their clients through continued education, state of the art financial tools, and the unwavering confidence and integrity in all financial matters and services concerning clients and staff. Their mission is to work closely with clients to help develop investment plans and financial strategies with the highest degree of professionalism, honesty, integrity. Positive changes in the personal and financial lives of their clients are of utmost importance.
Walter has been in the business for over 27 years. His financial advisory career began in 1988 with the Prudential Financial Company where he was a representative for 15 years. In 2004, he became an independent financial advisor. In 2007 he formed the Walter & Company Financial Services Inc. as an independent financial investment firm.
As an independent financial professional, Doug understands that allowing someone to become involved in personal or business finances is a matter of real trust. He stated that it is his personal belief to become more than a financial advisor – he becomes a true partner in each step of a client’s financial strategy.
Walter said that every recommendation made by him is meant to help his clients reach their financial goals, for the present and for the long term. He is licensed as an investment advisor representative with NFP Advisor Services, LLC Member, and FINRA/SIPC.
Walter, a sixth generation Galionite, has strong community ties and is a member of the Galion Chamber of Commerce and the Galion First Church of Nazarene.

The hours of the new location are 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Fridays.
