Aurelio Diaz of Chico's Brother performs during a Brown Bag Concert.

MANSFIELD, Ohio — Two opportunities remain for people to attend one of the Brown Bag Concerts held at the Central Park gazebo in downtown Mansfield.

One will occur tomorrow, Aug. 7 and the final concert will be held Sept. 4, both happening from noon – 1 p.m.

Attendees are encouraged to bring their lunch to the park, where they can socialize with friends and enjoy live music provided by Aurelio Diaz of Chico’s Brother and Orie Rush.

The Brown Bag Concert Series is organized by Downtown Mansfield, Inc. (DMI) and sponsored by Weldon, Huston, Keyser LLP.

Two Brown Bag Concerts have already been held this year. Jennifer Kime, DMI director, called the first two concerts of the year a success, noting, “We definitely have a growing audience for them.”

She estimated that this is the fifth year the concert series has been held. She noted the concerts create an additional opportunity in which people can enjoy the downtown public spaces.

She added, “We have 9,000 people who work downtown every day, so one of the goals that we have, in addition to bringing new people downtown, is to get the people who work downtown to interact and really provide a way for people to have that sense of community.”
