MANSFIELD, Ohio — Mansfield police were dispatched Tuesday at 3:12 p.m. to the residence located at 376 W. 5th St. where a reported shooting had occurred.
Sgt. Stephen Brane said a woman was outside working on her car when she was shot with what police believe to have been a BB gun.
He said she was taken to OhioHealth MedCentral Mansfield Hospital. The extent of her injuries are unknown at this time, but Brane said they don’t appear to have been serious. He thinks that she was shot in the leg and the back.
There are no suspects at this time, and it’s unsure whether the suspect(s) was driving or on foot.
Brane said they hope to collect more information from the victim to see if they can find the suspect(s).
