MANSFIELD, Ohio – The Mansfield Fire Department responded to a structure fire Saturday at Tube City IMS, located at 1344 Bowman St.
The media was barred from the scene, likely due to the presence of highly flammable materials.
Tube City IMS provides services to support steel production processes and operates at 80 customer sites in 10 countries and also operates 36 brokerages offices from which it buys and sells raw materials across five continents. The Mansfield site, located near the Mansfield Works facility of AK Steel, provides scrap metal and recycling services.
At this time the cause of the fire has not been identified and is under investigation and no injuries have been reported.
