According to Mayor Kevin Carr, the Village of Butler is working hard again in 2015 to create an environment for the support of existing businesses and new business, and to provide the best service to its residents for the money that is brought in.
“The Butler Merchants Association in conjunction with the Village is working to coordinate and reintroduce a summer festival and working on another summer car show, along with other ideas that can promote the Village and the surrounding area,” said Carr. “We will be starting early this year working on our Inflow and Infiltration issues with a sewer line relining and upgrades to our wastewater treatment plant.”
The completion of Butler’s Union/Elm Street bridge projects are a top priority to complete in 2015, said Carr.
“Thanks to the voters who passed the street renewal, we will be pursuing some additional street paving this year,” he said. “The Butler Police Department is looking to upgrade a cruiser and I thank all the employees of the Village for their hard work and dedication.
“Along with them and council I would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year and as always a warm invitation to visit the Village of Butler,” said Carr.
