CRESTLINE, Ohio – The Crestline Board of Education met Monday and the agenda included annual organization and discussion of a much-needed levy. During the organizational meeting the board chose Bob Salvati as president and Tom Clutter as vice-president for 2015. Both were sworn in to their positions.
The board unanimously approved placing a .75-percent earned income tax with a 10-year limit on the May ballot, following an executive discussion of levy options.
The board also established a service fund of $10,000 which will be used for training and other board expenses. Committee heads were retained: Jeff Wilhite, finance committee; Salvati, buildings and grounds committee; Clutter, policy committee; Jim Glauer, village relations committee; and Robyn Almanson, curriculum committee. Tom Clutter will serve as board member on the Pioneer Career and Technical Center Board. Wilhite will serve as Legislative Liaison, and Almanson will serve as Student Achievement Liaison.
The board approved Erica Burkhart as elementary library aide.
Crestline’s board of education will meet on the third Thursday of each month at 7 p.m. in the Crestline High School Media Center. The next Crestline Board of Education will be Thursday, Jan. 15 at 7 p.m. in the Crestline High School Media Center.
