Halloween Trick or Treat events begin haunting our streets, villages, and cities beginning Saturday. Ghosts, favorite cartoon characters, witches, princesses, and more will join area parades and community events; so Richland Source put together some of the events for our readers’ convenience.

According to the National Retail Federation (NRF), handing out candy topped the list of consumer planned Halloween activities at 71.1 percent, and 46.7 percent of consumers planned on decorating their homes and yards. Soon we’ll see the 45.8 percent who planned to dress in costumes. (See the NRF poll of costume choices below.)

Through October 31 visitors to the Richland Carrousel Park will see the carrousel animals dressed for Halloween courtesy of Pioneer Preforming Arts students who crafted masks for each of the animals.
