Local veterans are invited to bring their families, their stories and memorabilia to Mansfield’s Ashley Furniture HomeStore on Saturday, Nov. 8 at 4 p.m. It’s Ashley’s fifth annual Veterans Celebration and supper.

To date Ashley has donated over $65,000 to Wounded Warrior Project, given over $25,000 in free furniture and prizes to local Veterans, helped local Veterans in need, sent military care packages overseas, financially sponsored Veteran Honor Flights to D.C., and honored hundreds of local Veterans through their “Wall of Honor”.

“This year will be our biggest veteran celebration ever,” says Cindy Titus, Ashley Furniture HomeStore coordinator. “In addition to the free supper, we’re giving away $4,000 in free furniture and prizes to a few lucky local veterans in attendance. Veterans are invited to have their picture taken and added to our “Wall of Honor” and receive a free commemorative “Challenge Coin.” There is no obligation or purchase required. It’s our way of showing how much we love and appreciate our veterans.”

Ashley Furniture HomeStore is a community spirited local home furnishings store. Co-owned by brothers David and Ben Monnin, the store owners and staff have a special passion for veterans. Founding owner, Dave Monnin Sr. is an Army veteran, his son and co-owner, Ben, is an Army Ranger. Many of Ashley’s staff are comprised of or married to Veterans.

“We are a better nation because of our veterans,” says Cindy. “We express our gratitude to all who have worn the uniform of the United States Armed Forces every day at Ashley. We do it publicly one day a year. Free food. Free furniture. Free love.”

All veterans, their families and the general public are invited to join Ashley owners and staff on Saturday, Nov. 8 at 4pm at the Mansfield Ashley store on Lexington-Springmill Road.
