Crestline Village Council went into executive session to consider four applications for council seat to replace Councilwoman Stacy Wampler who resigned last week due to moving out of town. After executive session, council had not chosen a replacement. They have until Nov. 1 to select a new member of council.
With Halloween approaching, Mayor David Sharrock announced that Trick or Treat for Crestline will be Oct. 26 from 2 – 4 p.m. “Scary Business” will be held after that from 4 – 5 p.m. Businesses give out treats at the Gazebo and at places of business. Set up for Scary Business begins at 3:30 p.m. with a costume contest at 4:15 p.m.
Also, Together We Hurt will meet at the VFW in New Washington Saturday, Nov. 1 at 9 a.m.
In other announcements, Councilman Clayton said that Crestline’s Eye Candy Property of the Week contest. Residents can view photos on the Crestline Community Development Facebook page and vote for their favorite. Businesses will have a chance to compete during the Fall Theme Decorating contest with judging on Friday, Oct. 24. Businesses must notify the village office if they wish to participate.
Josh Bradley was approved as full time probationary fireman. The ordinance to rezone the old South School property had a second reading. Crestline will go out for bid for a new boiler that needs to be replaced. The next Crestline Village Council meeting will be Monday, Oct. 20 at 6:30 p.m. in council chambers.
