The William Pollock Clothing Company, a regional custom menswear provider servicing Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania and Ohio has devoted the month of September to helping veterans, and a non-profit organization focused on the same goal.
William Pollock Clothing will be accepting donations of gently worn suits throughout the month of September 2014 through any of their local style consultants.
When a client donates a suit through their style consultant to the Suiting Warriors Foundation they will receive a discount on a new custom suit, plus the clothing company will donate an additional $50 to the Suiting Warriors.
Founded after the tragic loss of a veteran family member, the Suiting Warriors has spent the better part of the past three years collecting gently worn formalwear through various donation channels and worked with veterans organizations, job fairs and other resources to have these suits gifted to veterans in need.
“Being dressed for success affects a person’s attitude and confidence, helping them create a great first impression for that new opportunity. Thousands of veterans are in the transition process at this present moment in every community,” said Star Lotta, Founder and CEO of Suiting Warriors Foundation.
The 501(c)3 organization, based in Wilmington, Delaware, has an office space with nearly 1,000 suits, but is constantly gifting these suits to veterans in need.
The focus of this promotion is not only to raise awareness for the cause and collect suit donations, but also to raise much needed funds for the organization to expand and be able to adequately service a wider service area of returning veterans.
Currently the Suiting Warriors Foundation is focused on Delaware and the surrounding region, but have serviced events as far as New York City. The goal is to continue to expand their geographic reach and be able to help more and more veterans. The financial assistance of this effort should be substantial in taking these steps.
