The Butler Police Department and Richland County Sheriff’s Office are currently investigating any leads pertaining to Tuesday night’s aggravated robbery in Butler. The robbery occurred at the Butler Duke & Duchess gas station, located at 11 W. Elm St.

According to the Butler police report, a Duke & Duchess employee called 9-1-1 at approximately 11:30 p.m. Tuesday night, stating that she had been robbed at gunpoint.

The Butler and Bellville Police departments and the Richland County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the scene; however, the suspect had already fled the area when the officers arrived, according to the report.

An immediate search of the area was conducted, but the suspect was not located.

The suspect was described as a female,  between 5 feet 4 inches and 5 feet seven inches and 120 pounds.

The Butler Police Department and the Richland County Sheriff’s Office are collaborating to determine any leads in the case, which is still under investigation by the Butler Police Department.
