Some believe that luxury is fancy clothes, first class hotels, fast cars…I believe that luxury is a perception.  Each person’s view of luxury is different from the next.  If it feels like luxury to them, then it is. 

One person may think a gourmet five course meal at a high-end restaurant is luxury, while another may think skiing in the mountains at a ski-in, ski-out lodge is luxury, while another may think taking a cruise is a luxury. 

Let’s admit it. We are all different, and have different views about what luxury means to us.

One of the things that I pride myself in is trying to understand my client’s personal tastes and what is their vision of luxury. Our goal at Carson Travel is to make sure we find those needs and meet them with the best vendor to make the clients experience very memorable! 

When thinking of travel, what do you think of for luxury? Really think about it…is it the non-stop flights? Will you travel a longer distance to have that flight itinerary?  Is it the balcony cabin on the cruise? Is price not an option for you with this because you know having your coffee each morning on that balcony is a gift to yourself each day on your vacation? Is it being pampered, knowing that the towel will be on the chair and your favorite drink will arrive when you get settled in on that beach, without you asking? These are the items that make our planning one of a kind, because we know every client is different and their perception of what is important to them is different from the next. 

Quality, Value, and Price all factor into this equation differently. 

One of my favorite brands is Seabourn Cruises. They are a luxury brand.  Their mission statement is the following: “Through genuine and intuitive service, we consistently deliver exceptional Seabourn Moments that delight our guests and create the world’s finest travel experiences.” 

I love that! They get it. 

They understand that each guest is different and appreciates value for the service they are receiving on board.  Once our clients enjoy this service, they return for more. The personalized service and outstanding one to one attention allows Seabourn staff to really meet each of our client’s individual definition of luxury.
